Jean Jordaan is a litigation, corporate and intellectual property lawyer called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2018, practising with Anderson & Company in Swift Current — the largest firm in southwest Saskatchewan.
He graduated from law school in 2005 and began practising in 2009 south of Johannesburg, South Africa, moving to Canada with his family in 2016. His litigation experience spans every level of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
Jean has litigated cryptocurrency disputes and advised clients on recovering from — and avoiding — crypto fraud, exchange failures and irreversible custody errors. Askari Digital Asset Services Ltd. was established to address the problem those cases kept revealing: holdings that are perfectly secure right up until the moment their owner is no longer available.
Why this is a separate brand
Askari Digital operates as a distinct brand from Anderson & Company because the work is distinct. Securing a multi-signature wallet, verifying an exchange and storing backups are not legal services in the conventional sense — but they are inseparable from the legal questions that surround them. Keeping the brands separate makes the boundary clear while keeping both under one roof, at one address, with one lawyer accountable for the advice.
Where we work
Our office is at 51 1st Avenue NW in Swift Current, and we act for clients across Saskatchewan — Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Yorkton, Prince Albert and the rural communities in between. Consultations are available in person or by secure video.
