Purchase facilitation and exchange due diligence
Lawyer-supervised cryptocurrency purchases. We vet the exchange, verify compliance and manage the transaction, so your first buy is not your worst mistake. First call is free.
The riskiest moment is the first one
Buying cryptocurrency looks simple until it goes wrong, and when it goes wrong it is rarely recoverable. Transactions are final. There is no chargeback, no fraud department and no reversal. The mistakes that cost people most are made in the first week, usually by someone acting on advice from a person they have never met.
What we check before you send money
- Regulatory standing in Canada. Whether the platform is registered as required to deal with Canadian residents, and what that registration actually covers.
- Security and incident history. Past breaches, how they were handled, and whether customers were made whole.
- Custody arrangements. Who actually holds the assets, whether they are segregated, and what happens to your position if the platform fails.
- Withdrawal reliability. Whether customers can consistently get funds out — the failure mode that precedes most collapses.
- Corporate substance. Who operates it, from where, and under whose law you would be suing.
What we manage during the transaction
Account setup and identity verification, transfer structuring appropriate to the amount, test transactions before anything material moves, and settlement into storage you control rather than leaving the balance sitting on an exchange.
That last step matters more than most people realise. Assets left on an exchange are a claim against a company, not property you hold. If it fails, you become a creditor.
Clients frequently come to us after being approached with an opportunity they cannot verify, often with urgency attached. That is exactly the right moment to call — before the money moves, while the decision is still reversible. Urgency is the single most reliable indicator of fraud.
What this is not
We do not give investment advice, we do not recommend which assets to buy, and we express no view on whether cryptocurrency is a suitable investment for you. Our role is to make sure that if you buy, the transaction is sound, the counterparty is real, and the result ends up somewhere you actually control.

Call before you send anything
If you believe you are being scammed, or you want an investment looked at before you commit, the initial phone consultation is free. No fee and no obligation — we would far rather take the call early than be asked to help after the money has gone.
If a fuller written review is needed after that call, we will tell you what it costs before doing any of it.
